Harnessing Solar Power
For an on-site generation, where better to start than by utilising unused space on the rooftops of existing buildings and offices? We began working with the site on a plan to generate solar power from the roofs of the three primary buildings, leading to the installation of 238kW solar panels for commercial buildings.
The Outcome
On-site solar power is a simple and quick solution to generate zero-carbon electricity supporting the development of new renewable infrastructure. The installation for our client has reduced the site electricity bill by displacing grid electricity with the electricity generated from the rooftop PV installation.
The Full Brief
Inergy Group were equipped to manage the project from start to finish, including design, build, installation and operation. Our dedicated team carried out numerous activities to ensure suitability on-site, including comprehensive structural and electrical surveys and presented long-term turnkey project designs that would maximise value.
The project included the installation of over 500 solar panels across three buildings and is planned over 202 MW of zero-carbon electricity generation in the first year of operation alone.
